Do you offer rental on your ice cream machines?
We have finance options available for all of ice cream machines which allow you to spread the cost over 1-5 years. We also offer rental but only on a select range of machines. For more information on rental, you can call us on 01 286 5000.
How much does an ice cream machine cost?
Most commercial ice cream machines will start at approximately €6,000 and then rise depending on size, features and support packages.

What ice cream machine accessories do I need?
Every business is different. A service station, small cafe and large restaurant will all have different requirements. That being said, most businesses don’t require any accessories if they plan to serve a simple menu of just soft-serve cones. If you plan to serve a more intricate menu with toppings you may need topping dispensers, cone holders, blenders and mini-fridges.
How does a commercial ice cream machine work?
A commercial ice cream machine essentially performs two functions simultaneously to produce ice cream. At the same time it will cool the ice cream mix to freezing temperature and also force it through the machine dispenser to produce the soft-serve ice cream we all know and love.
How to clean a commercial ice cream machine?
Cleaning and maintaining your commercial ice cream machine is crucial from both a health and safety standards point of view, but also to ensure the best taste for your customers and ensure machine maintenance costs stay to a minimum.
With all that in mind, you’ll need to empty and discard all ice cream before starting. Then it will be a case of cleaning the tank, hopper and dispenser tip as well as inspecting the outside of the machine, giving it a general clean and being aware of all damage or issues that need further inspection. Where to rent a milkshake machine?
We don’t offer rental on milkshake machines but we do have finance options available so you can spread the payment across months/years.
Which is the best commercial milkshake machine?
There are many options for milkshake machines, our new Giotto machine can serve multiple products, giving you more choice from just one machine. When it comes to milkshakes, we recommend speaking to a member of our team first so you’re fully informed before purchasing a machine.
How much does a commercial milkshake machine cost?

Slushy Machine FAQs
Do you sell Fanta Frozen (and similar style drinks)?
We don’t supply Fanta Frozen, Coca-Cola Frozen or other carbonated frozen drinks. We do supply Robinson’s and Mi Wadi Fruit Ice, which is a non-carbonated style frozen drink that’s available in four flavours.
Do you sell carbonated slush?
We currently don’t sell carbonated slush but we do have some popular brands available in non-carbonated options such as Mi Wadi, Robinson’s and Slushy Jacks.

What does Dairyglen do?
Put simply, Dairyglen is an ice cream and milkshake machine specialists company. This means we supply commercial machines to businesses throughout Ireland, help manage and maintain said machines, provide all the accessories required to get up and running, and much more. We work alongside some of the biggest names in the Irish Food and Beverage Industry including BWG, Applegreen, Insomnia Coffee Company, Mace, Arnott’s and much more.

When was Dairyglen founded?
We’re hugely proud to say that Dairyglen is an Irish family-run business with over 30 years of experience in the industry, and we were founded in 1991.
Where is Dairyglen based?
Dairyglen head office is based in Bray, County Wicklow. We’re just a short distance from Dublin and not too far from the famous Wicklow mountains either! We also have a separate distribution center based in Cork.
How big is your team?
Over the years our team has expanded to include the expertise of engineers, support technicians, sales and marketing experts and more. Currently we employ a team of nearly 40.
Do you offer ice cream and milkshake machine training and servicing?
Yes, we pride ourselves on our extensive training academy that’s accessible to all our customers. In fact, we insist that each of our customers undergoes rigorous training after purchase to ensure the most efficient and safe use of their new machine. This includes in-depth health and safety procedures, ice-cream and milkshake machine cleaning programs, portion control, preventative maintenance tips and regular servicing by our qualified team of refrigeration engineers.
