Is the ice cream business seasonal?

No. But without our help? Maybe!

Ice-cream sales usually spike in the Summer but when you become a Dairyglen customer, we help you capitalize on your sales and sell all year round. It is normal to notice seasonal fluctuations in your sales but there is no reason to close your ice-cream business during the Winter months. In fact, most of our customers experience little to no decrease in the winter months.

How?

1.  Our top tips:

We’ve been in this industry for over 30 years. We know what works, and we’ll share all our knowledge with you to help you sell all year round.

2.  Offer seasonal flavours:

Back to school, Halloween and Christmas are all key holidays during the Winter period – so offer your customers new, exclusive ways to encourage indulgence! Most of the traditional sweet treats of the festive seasons are natural partners for ice-cream so even adding a side-portion of ice-cream to your dessert menu is easily done and highly effective.

There are plenty of opportunities to get creative and use seasonal flavours to increase footfall in the colder months.

3.  Know what sells and what doesn’t:

Customer habits can change throughout the year – typically ice-cream cones sell better during the summer months and tubs are more popular in the winter. Adding milkshakes to your menu is also a common switch for the colder months. Offering a range of take-home products will also boost your bottom line during your less busy months.

4.  The Dairyglen brand:

Still not convinced? We’ll just leave this here…
